Console Combat 2

This is the second part of the C++ Workshop on GameDev.Net. I originally didn't think I'd do it, but decided that this type of game is where I want to go in the future, and if I couldn't do a text version, I shouldn't try a graphical version.

I see this project starting as a text adventure, and then adding a graphical component to it after it is finished. It would be similar to the earlier D&D games on the PC (Pool of Radiance series); where the game was basically a text adventure, but with images and a GUI.

The project is as much an engine as it is a game. All the rooms, items, shops, monsters, etc. are loaded in from text files. This means that if you want to create your own 10 room game based on shopping (unfortunately, you can expect to see this for my wife) you can. Likewise, if you want to create a 100,000 room world with it's own unique history, you are free to do that as well.

I'm throwing the project up here for now as a prototype for a teammate of mine who will be involved in creating a story and artwork for the later edition of the game. When the game is completely finished, I will add it to the completed projects section and provide full specs.
